Hello TTG Anime

So for Christmas my mom got me two tickets to Otakon 2015 in Baltimore.
I like anime and all but idk if I'm that much of a fan to go to this.
Does anybody know if this is a good event? I know nothing about this.

I've never heard of it, but here where i live we have Sakurakon and its amazing, even if you aren't a die hard fan, you meet a lot of cool people, and you get to do and see a lot of cool things. I personally went last year and they had a LARP version of SAO going on, it was quite the spectacle.

Honestly, I have no clue.
My close friends don't like anime. They're all "bro420swags" Hopefully I can figure something out by July.
