Does it have to be a laptop? They're not exactly the best for gaming.

Yeah laptops aren't the best for gaming.

1. They're over priced.

2. The cooling compared to desktops aren't even comparable.

3. Desktops are easier to upgrade, and maintain.

But if you insist check out some of MSI's line of laptops they house some good components.

I didn't read that one line! I am sorry. Alienware's are okay but are over priced. MSI also do some good laptops! I know HP have also just released a decent gaming laptop although I am unaware of its name or price.

I understand that some people require laptops but jesus christ, if you must purchase a laptop, don't buy Alienware. There are several users here who can vouch for the fact that Alienware suck. Can't remember off the top of my had but seen many complaints about them. MSI, Asus and Gigabyte have some of the 'better' laptops, but a desktop would be far superior. If you need a laptop for school, buy a cheap laptop and spend the rest on a desktop. If you need a laptop because you go between parents houses, buy an mATX or Mini-ITX rig as they're small and easy to carry from one place to another. If you really need a gaming laptop due to travelling constantly, look at MSI, Asus and Gigabyte, just don't buy Alienware.
