Can someone recommend a good MoBo an CPU that combines to ~$500 that's also compatible with w Radeon HD 7870. PSU shouldn't be a problem I have overkill right now. I think it's 750 watts

Could you list the rest of your specs? You current CPU and mobo, as well as everything else. Download Speccy and post a screenshot of your specs. Could you also tell us the make and model of your PSU and case so we know what is and is not compatible.

MOAR watts doesn't mean better.
I mean, if anything, the less watts a system needs, depending on the hardware inside, the better.
Brand doesnt matter either, its who actually makes the PSU, not the people who whack their branding on it.
So make & model of your PSU would be nice to know.
