There are some pretty sketchy places in and around LA here that I have been known to avoid as well... Compton and Watts are two areas in specific that I try not to find my self in the middle of at night.

I live in memphis.. It's really not that bad, I honestly think it's a pretty safe place if you know where you're going. Just don't dandy your way into the hood
