I'm looking for a 970 build for 770 gbp, as I want to allow some leeway for shipping and other costs. Would like to have the option to overclock later down the line on the CPU aswell if my budget allows it. Thanks

Get an SSD when you can.

Get either a h100i or nzxt kraken when you can the hyper 212 evo is decent but only a budget cooler and as you insisted a overclockable pc that's the only one i could really squeeze in that's good for the price. im sure other people will come along and recommend you some other options for budget coolers.

Thanks for the build! By overclockable I meant just an unlocked CPU, so I don't really need a cooler at this stage

Pocket change over, but worth it;

Fully modular PSU, nice case with plenty of room, 256GB SSD. Add an HDD asap for mass storage. Add a h100i when you decide to overclock the 4690k.

Thanks for the build, it looks quite good
How do you reckon that board will handle overclocking?
And what are your views on air cooling, say using the Noctua d15 over the h100i?
Thanks again

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] honestly I'd stick with the h100i, mainly because it looks better inside the case and has a cool looking led thingy on it. The D15 looks mahoosive no matter what case you put it in.. and it doesn't have a purdy light on it

Personally, I'd stick with a liquid cooler over an air cooler. Air coolers are huge and bulky and I feel like liquid coolers are much more attractive. Also, a good liquid cooler is going to keep your CPU cooler than a good air cooler

According to the charts on the site Vox linked, the D15 is quieter and has lower temps than the h100i?. I'm not to fussed about aesthetics, as I could just get a case without a window.
