I remember wanting to build my computer. Being so thrilled and excited when my parts came, to frustrated when it didn't turn on for the first time, and annoyed at all the error's, mistakes, and failing parts (2 Hyperx SSDs) that came later. That was almost 2 years ago. Since then I haven't really touched the internals expect for changing my GPU's pci slot, connecting Sata cable, and replacing hard drives. Ever since I realized how big some towers could be I've always thought about building a mini-itx computer because some cases look sleek and it's takes up less space. Since Christmas is around the corner I was wondering if I should buy new parts for my current computer, use parts I have to build a mini-itx, or start from scratch and sell or giveaway why current computer. I recently got an Oculus Rift so a new GPU is always in the back of my mind, but I really need an new monitor and extra hard drive. What should I do?

Main Specs:
Asus Modo
i5 2500K
Corsair Ram 2x4Gigs
Corsair Power supply 650w or 550w (forgot, too lazy to check)
WD Green 1TD Hard Drive
500G Toshiba Laptop Hard Drive
Sapphire AMD HD 7870
Cooler Master CPU fan
NZXT Phantom 410 (Love-Hate relationship)

Depends what you want the computer to do?

It is still a decent PC with one of the best CPU's ever made (IMO).

If you want better gaming performance, stick a GTX 770/970 in there and leave it be. Other than that I'd leave it the same.

Maybe a SSD MX100's are cheap at the minute, I'd grab one of them.
