Do you already have two monitors or do you want us to suggest some? If so, does your $1000 budget include the cost of two monitors? Do you need a keyboard and/or mouse? Do you want to overclock? Will you overclock if you have the right components to do so or would you prefer not to overclock?

It's not that you're overcharged. $1000NZD is equal to around £475 which wouldn't be a huge budget in the UK either. Buying from overseas would likely cost much more in shipping so you're best buying from somewhere close.

Your budget was give or take $150, so I did use the extra $150. It's a great all round PC. Good CPU with no overclocking capabilities, good fully modular PSU, and an SSD for faster boot/load times. The case isn't very nice but will do. The 270 is not a very high end card but will play games on high settings no problem. It's quite a large price jump to higher end cards from the 270.

Although an SSD is ice, it can be added later
This is a tiny bit over however is lacking an SSD and has a lower quality PSU, which is still ok. However it has a 280X over a 270 which is something to consider.
