You should probably practice driving the city first or at least the area around the DMV, since they usually don't go too far away from it. Pay very close attention to every single sign you see, they will notice. Constantly look around, not just in the mirrors. Stay inside the speed limit. And just be confident. If you go in there scared, you already failed.

Thanks!
The part that i possibly think i will fail on is the manoeuvres, are they easy to do when it comes to the real thing?

Are you talking about stuff like parallel parking and stuff? They aren't really hard if you know how to do them, but I would definitely practice stuff like that as they will test you for it when you take your test.

Some good advice already mentioned here. Just stay calm and do your best.

Keep quiet about your test date (don't tell friends). This just adds pressure. If you think you've made a mistake in the test, forget about it and don't let it affect your driving - just think that the examiner may let it go if it's not too much of a concern.

It took me 3 attempts to pass, and it's definitely made me a better driver. Don't feel ashamed if you if you do happen to fail. We learn from mistakes and taking the test more than once makes you a better driver. Everyone passes eventually!

Good luck, you can do it.

If you are taking it with a private company and you pass it never open the envelope they give you.... i did that and i had to retake the test! Also when parallel parking make sure that you are in the right gear (nothing like hitting the gas in reverse when you think your in drive). Additionally use parts of the car to help you parallel park.

Anyone have any tips on the day of the test?

Dont be to cautious, yes air on the side of caution but not to much because you can fail for that.
