Steam support is absolutely horrendous, anybody who has ever had to deal with the pain of this will feel me in this respect. I reported my Hijacked account on the 26th, it's now the 29th. This should be a top list priority for Steam to sort out, but instead I'm left waiting with absolutely no games to play at all. Why does such a great service has such a bad customer support? Why does such a big corporation like Valve not have a support hotline to recover accounts? Before you say "You obviously didn't give the right details" or something remotely stupid, I gave them the PayPal information they require, and extra verification in a form of a used keycode on my account. I hate to compare Steam in such a degrading way, but even Xbox Live's account recovery is quicker and more human interaction based. I'm just really annoyed to the service I'm getting and it's even worse that it's currently half term, I currently only have access to shitty Origin games which none of my friends play. I'm just at a loss to how pathetic Steam support is.
Post below stating your shit experiences with Steam Support.

Little kids get their accounts stolen daily buy the thousands and they also spend money on their parents Credit Cards. The parents then charge back and that makes stuff an issue and then you have thousands of people making tickets every day for the same reasons. If it did have a live chat sort of feature no doubt it could take hours to get in. You are not the only one who needs to be served. Next time you will be more careful when downloading or giving out details.

TL;DR its your fault your account got hijacked. Steam have to deal with other people as well before you. Wait your turn.

A. Didn't download anything fishy, preformed several virus scans.
B. Didn't log in anywhere.
Anyone can be hacked, so don't make out it's always the persons fault.

Like I said in your original post it can take a long time.
Its not that they are horrible its just there are ALOT of other people doing the same thing its simply luck of the draw.
There are probably loads of problems because its half term- Kids getting hacked becasue they clicked some random link, Kids stealing credit cards, Kids getting VAC banned there is a whole range of stuff that has to be sorted out.

I agree it really sucks but thats why you gotta be really careful with your account.

When you get it back activate steam Guard - Set a primary and secondary email and 2 good security questions then its very unlikely your account will get hijacked and if it does it means someone is probably targeting you and its definitely time to get the old Bill around (The Police for you young people)

Been around long enough to know what the bill means! I suppose. It's just really sucky considering how this has happened in the half term. If it happening in term time I wouldn't be too arsed, but since it's happened now.. shit.

so what? you do realize you arent the only person whos account was hacked on the 26th right? You do realize you arent the only steam user right?

I bought a game for 40 dollars, not on sale. I asked for a refund, it took steam 5 days to even respond to my first email, but guess what. I wasnt crying, I was happy because they eventually got me and I got my money back.

Bit different considering you still had your steam account to access...
Yes, I do realise I'm not the only Steam user, I'm just wondering why such a big corporation doesn't have a account recovery number.

(You probably won't read the whole thing, but you should)

Well you defiantly aren't going to get a reply in 3 minutes. Or even 48 hours. It can take several days. There are a ton of users who use steam who submit tickets every day so you are not priority #1. If you feel your ticket was dropped in the trash simply submit another, it isn't a big deal.

If your account got 'Hacked' they have to do more than just reply "Oh hey we are looking into your issue we will get back to you asap." No, they have to gather all the information possible on the issue and then address you about it with a full statement.

Yes, Account theft should be on the top priority list, but you are not #1 on the list. They probably have among thousands, into ten thousands of support tickets of 'breached' accounts. I will obviously take them up to 1-2 weeks to determine if your account was actually breached and verify the information.
