Hows it going TTG?
I am having some xbox360 troubles :dontgetit:
I opened up my xbox 360 and figured out this part is getting extremely hot.
What is the name of this part?

The secondary error code: 0013
Can someone please direct me to a fix. It would be greatly appreciated!!

you can remove it and apply new thermal paste tons of tutorials on youtube!

That's this piece (but yours will be white)
Even when my "air tunnel" is in the xbox its heats up within 2-3 minutes, and does the two line red ring. It doesnt look too dusty. Is the thermal glue my problem??

Get it Reballed or for a quick DIY fix put some serious heat over the chips with a hot air gun.
May extend the life by 6 months.

Clean out the dust
If that dont help, replace the TIM - I reccomed MX-4
If that dont help, ajust the tension holder things [metal bit holding the heasink in place]

Can you explain to me why it is heating up so quickly if the heat-sink is the problem?
Does the thermal paste become ineffective over time?

Your Thermal Paste is stale. Go buy some Arctic Silver 5 and reapply it. For a more long term fix, send it off to get reballed.
