Thousands of people have been taking part in a protest in Hungary against government plans to tax the internet, one of the first such attempts in the world.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban's government, which has been widely accused of adopting anti-democratic policies, first unveiled plans for the new tax in the draft 2015 tax bill submitted to parliament.

I personally think this is a severe attack on Democracy, and just like any "Anti-Internet-Freedom" law, it will be crushed.

This is just stupid. I really do hope that the protest gets through to this government.

Apparently, the government has squeezed through laws and bills like this before, so I don't really know. Hopefully, it won't happen.
