I've been level 24 for a VERY long time. I'm a hunter. And so far I only got a exotic shotgun, and 3 legendarily which were all for the warlock class. Is there anyway I can achieve legend armor for hunter class?

I would do as Skeletal said and level up one of the Factions i.e Vanguard, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, FWC or Crucible and purchase legendary armor for your class. Easiest & quickest way.

If you have high level friends, let them carry you through the raid. I've carried a few of my friends through the raid and they got two pieces of raid gear. Good luck ranking up!

Depending on how much you play you could always just purchase gear from the vendors around the tower to get started. If your reputation is low for Crucible/Vanguard then I would go ahead and buy a class item from one of the factions just to make the process quicker. You can then use the marks you earn to purchase gear from the vendors and is probably one of the only sure-fire ways of earning legendaries. Or like someone above said, have a group of higher level friends who are willing to help you with the raid carry you through it and you will have a chance at some nice raid gear.
