-DCFC wrote What are you going to be using your pc for?

16GB might be completely unnecessary never mind the 2666Mhz

Spending that ammount on RAM is ridiculous.

Can put the money towards a better GPU/CPU/cooling system/case or a SSD if you haven't got one.

Whats your current specs?

I wanted high end Ram for mainly editing and multi-tasking Also i would like to have the performance to run popular games with no problems like BF 4 which is why i chose such a Kit at 2666mhz but if i wont ever get the top performance from the G.Skill 16GB 2666mhz Kit then it will be pointless me buying it, Ill be better of buying the G.Skill 16GB 2400mhz Kit wont i.
When you say editing, do you mean hardcore editing?

16gb ram at that speed is hardly going to benefit you in game. 8GB is the most you will need when it comes to gaming.

Whats the rest of your build???

I wouldn't say Hardcore editing but i want my pc to be more than capable in handling editing possibly large files + very little to none freezing issues, As for gaming, I play xbox360 so i game on that mostly but i would like to play pc games such as BF4 that require high end components to play them and i want to be able to play them smooth with no problems. & the editing side, i just want to be able to edit videos with no interruptions like freezing or Windows crashing like my old pc did with the same RAM im using in this, I will mainly be buying the RAM for editing purposes but i want RAM thats capable in playing games like BF4 because it requires high end parts to help run the game. Also to make windows work faster, like browsing, multi-tasking ect.

I currently have 4GB of RAM installed and the amount of freezing/lag i have experienced when this RAM was in my old PC was unreal, It seems to perform better in my Asus Crosshair V Formular Z Motherboard but 4GB Memory is not enough for what i want to do.
Mate honestly 8GB of ram will be fine. It wont crash while rendering.

Whats your full specs please?

With the allocated budget for the ram, just buy another 4gb of ram around 30-40gbp

then you've got 160GBP to upgrade your CPU/GPU or other components if necessary.

Thats very helpful but i dont understand how buying 2400mhz of 16GB RAM to replace 4GB Or 8GB 2400mhz would benefit me more?

Fulls specs are above i literally have alot to buy yet. BUT the CPU AMD FX8350 i bought as part of this build, i refuse to pay 150+ for a chip that will still freeze when under alot of pressure

Can you explain how buying the G.Skill 8GB 2400mhz Kit would be better than buying the G.Skill 16GB 2400mhz Kit please.

You don't get what i mean.

Ram is not as important as people make out.

For gaming the most important part is by far your graphics card and secondly your CPU

Your PC wont use the 16gb of ram, so you'll be wasting a load of money instead of using it more important parts that are going to improve your performance a tonne more.

Seen your graphics card is a 210.

Thats bad, and you wont be able to run BF4 on decent settings even if you had 10000000 GB of ram @ 900000000 Mhz

This is what i would do with 200GBP

You've already got 4GB of ram which is fine. Add another 4gb = 8Gb duh.

The SSD will increase load times and boot times. If you didn't want to get an SSD put the remaining money towards a better GPU

The GPU will be able to run BF4 ultra 40FPS Plus.
