Just went to start up my PC, the LED on the front panel flashed, but nothing happened. only the PSU fan spins when I tried to turn it on. The front panel LED flashes periodically . This happened about a month ago but it got sorted somehow.

Thanks.

What is the specification of your system? Have you made any notable software or hardware changes to it?

CPU i5 3570K not OC
GPU Radeon 7950
PSU XFX pro 550W
MOBO msi g43
RAM 4gb corsair vengeance LP (one stick broke)
1 Tb hdd 128 SSD

I have just formatted my PC 2 days ago and no hardware changes .

I did manage to get it working by unplugging MOBO power and then plugging it in again.

It's happened twice now and I don't know if the problem was just the wire being loose or it being my PSU/MOBO, is there a way to check?

Make sure your RAM is seated properly as this is the main cause of a non-booting PC.

Also, are you sure it was the RAM stick that was bust, or the slot.

Yeah It was the RAM stick, ran the memory checker thing and it detected a hardware problem. Then tried each stick individually, one was fine, the other one wasn't, then I tried the stick on a different slot and it would still detect a problem.

Thanks for the quick reply +rep.
