Hey this is what I am currently planning on building later in december [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , It costs 1104.35 GBP. I haven't included a hard drive or an optical drive because I already have them and will be putting them in this build. I will also already have an 8GB RAM so I will have 16GB when the build is complete , feel free to give me feedback and what improvements can be made.

thank you

It depends what you are wanting to do with the PC.

Personally, I'd include an SSD, swap the CM Evo for a water-cooled equivalent (h100i, etc.) and add a few additional fans, swap the 780ti for a 980 and change the case to a NZXT H440.

For one take away the i7 and get an i5, use the extra money to get a GTX 980.

Also you say you have 8GB, but what kind of 8GB? Mixing RAM is kind of a hit or miss thing, you have to do a lot of fiddling around if they're not the same RAM to get them to run together well.

If they're two different speeds as well the RAM will run at the lower speed, what 8GB do you have?

That power supply is also a bit big, 550w-600w would be perfect.

Don't even bother looking at builds yet. If you're not buying until December, wait until December to look at a build. Prices change constantly and new components are always being released.

I'll be adding an SSD next year , this is just a quick starting point because I'm desperate for a high end PC at the moment thats usable, I understand an i5 is good enough for gaming but I need the i7 because this PC will also be used for music production. I will look into the GTX 980 , I chose the 780Ti as I saw that most people classed it as the best card for gaming. I also have a stick of 8GB RAM in my current system which I will mix with the new one to get 16GB RAM
