it hardly seems fair that we need to pay more and maybe get banned for using the indian market.

Go to India and you will see that everything is cheaper, food, entertainment...etc.

That's just the way it is in countries people make less money on average in India that they would in England so they pay less for things. It's Economics.

Because the Indian economy is terrible and the conversion rate of rupees to dollers/pound/euros etc. is very good (for us).
