yes solo challenges are your best way right now. You receive 17K for every regular season games but it also give you 2 rookie packs that can give you player for team repeatable sets and it also give you 3 random badges.

most of the badges you receive from this will probably be bronze but I have completed 10 whole regular season and have pulled 4 elite badges, which sell for about 58K right now.

I keep my bronze, silvers, and gold because Im going for the mut master set but I sell my elite right now only because Im sure the price will come down by the time I actually need them.

I have about 320K but I have been buying/wasting coins on the all pro packs/legends, and all madden packs. Never pulled anything special out of them.

my best card is a 86 derrick johnson and I got him out of one of the free 3 packs I get from ultimate team edition
