i was wondering since i use a monitor and it dosent have a headset jack like tvs do is there a way to set it up to get audio? i will check back when i get home later so thanks in advance.

The only way to get sound to your headset is by plugging it into your controller through a chat adapter or by hooking it up to your Xbox One through the digital audio output.
The chat adapter will give you game audio on your headset but it won't be as good as the quality you would get by using the digital audio output.
