Ok so my Astros work if I plug in the optical and USB to the xbox one. But I want to be able to hear my computer sound through the USB and the xbox sound through the optical cord. On the xbox 360 I could do this and talk to people on raidcall on my computer while still listening to the game sound on the 360, however, when I try this setup on the xbox one, no sound comes out. Any ideas?

I do the same thing with my Astro A40's on my Xbox One. I have the USB plugged into my computer and optical cables plugged into the Xbox One.
Make sure your controller is updated and I would also try messing with the sound settings on your Xbox One.

How do I update my controller? And I tried messing with the sound settings but I couldn't seem to get it to work

Also I only have an optical cable going from the optical out on the xbox to the optical in on the mixamp. Do I need to buy another one to go from the optical in to the optical out?

I don't see why you would need to purchase another optical cable.

just realised im not even using the chat function so the controller should have nothing to do with it. What sound settings are you using>?
