Hey guys so i just turned on my old xenon jtag that i havent used for like 2 years now and i got the three red rings.. I actualyy have the entire jtag taken out of the case so its jsut inside the metal case not the plastic one. so I had to plug in the front piece of the jtag where you click the power button to turn it on and as soon as I plugged it into the motherboard and turned the jtag on, I got three red rings. What is the reason for this and is there a fix? I will give positive Rep to anyone who helps!!

If it has been left without the casing then its probably all full of dust and stuff and may need cleaning abit. But i know nothing about jtags

My best assumption would be it was stored were it collected dust/exposed to hot cold temps...
Either way, what you have to do is get it reflowed/reballed.
This is not the first time this problem has happened,it's very common with xenons.

Best of luck...also,since you have it apart you can do it yourself.get some thermal paste, and watch a YouTube video or two..
