I was thinking about this, maybe if there is a discussion of a specific show each fortnight (which would be more feasible than just a week, because a lot of people have limited time to watch anime each day), selected by a community poll (that is changed each time the topic is updated with a new show) seems like quite a good idea in my eyes. Each topic can be left up for a fortnight so people actually have time to watch the show if they haven't yet and it could result in some interesting discussion and potentially enable people to broaden their horizons in terms of anime, and possibly get into it as well.

Not sure if this would be a staff ran thing, or simply something that a user starts up every fortnight and encourages people to join in, but i can't say i am against it in any way, provided that the everyone's views are respected in the process.

What does everyone else think of an idea such as this?

I would be up for it. I think we actually need something like this in the Anime Forum because loads of us watch different animes and it's kinda hard to discuss. If we all watched the same anime, it would be pretty awesome and the discussion would be more lively and active.

If you want, I can make a poll on my sticky of the section on what show TTG should watch this season (since it's only what, 5 or 6 episodes in?).

Once we get a decent amount of votes, we can open up the discussion thread every 2 weeks. This plan should be more than feasible and a lot of fun as well. Will actually give me motivation to keep up with a show day for day to participate.

it would be cool if a mod made a post but closed it for discussion and then after a certain amount of time the post was re-opened and people could share their opinions, that way spoilers wouldn't get leaked :3
