I know what you mean but I feel that the small amount of waiting is well worth it, Plus once you install it, be it you buy it online or buy a disk, all you have to do is launch from the desktop. No keeping disks and buying new ones if they scratch and you dont have to buy a new PC when the "next gen" games come out. Just a 200$ish upgrade and you are good to go!

So you're telling me that a $500-600 gaming PC seven years ago (around the same time the 360 was released), can run COD: Ghosts today at the same level the 360 can or better with just a $200 upgrade?

Actually it can run COD Ghost better with no upgrades at all, its the same engine as COD 4 had.

Uh, no.

A PC with similar or same specs as an Xbox 360 would NOT be able to play Ghosts, or BO:II, or MW3 etc.

Xbox 360: 512mb of RAM
Ghosts RAM requirements: 6GB
Black Ops 2 RAM requirements: 4GB
Modern Warfare 3 RAM requirements: 3GB

Average amount of RAM in a PC 7 years ago: 2GB (Of course there were higher-end PCs with 4GBs of RAM too. 4GB then is like 16GB now, to put it into perspective)

Not to mention the GPU and CPU requirements. You can't compare old-gen consoles to PCs, they don't even run on the same architecture. Your entire post is biased as all hell. "Consoles are nearly $600!" Really? Last time I checked the most expensive console was $500, and that's the One w/ Kinect. $500 isn't "nearly $600." and nobody is forcing you to pay for the premium version, you can just as easily buy the $400 Kinectless One, or a PS4 for the same price. "Next-gen consoles are obsolete!" Right, well so is your PC, and every other PC elitists rig. Why? You know damn well that it's impossible to have brand new parts in your rig at all times. Everyone's PC or console is obsolete, and saying something like "next-gen is obsolete" makes you seem ignorant. (which you are) No you can't make a $500 PC that will run BF4 at max settings w/ 70FPS, stop kidding yourself. "lol but i got parts on peecee part pickur n it said $500" but do you have an OS? Does that include shipping? How about a monitor or a mouse and keyboard? So what if you can jam a whole bunch of parts into a mobo for $500, individual parts are useless if the whole PC isn't there. 90% of people don't have a monitor lying around, and maybe only a hand full of people have a mouse and keyboard they can use that are from this decade. What about speakers? Do you have a random pair of speakers lying around? Do you have a copy of Windows w/ an unused product key just chillin in a drawer? I know I sure don't, and Windows is $100 alone for an OEM key.

I could go on and on.. and on, about how completely one-sided your thread is, but It's pointless to continue. In the end, an elitist is an elitist, and there's no getting through to people like you now is there? But do me a favour, do your research on things like this before you say things that you believe for fact because you saw it on YouTube or a friend told you it was real.

ANNNNND again, if all they need is a RAM upgrade to play cod then boom, 70 bucks and you got 8gb of RAM!! YESS 8gb of RAM, amazing aint it?!

PC's will always be better than a console period when presented in a generalized atmosphere. This is because PC's can do much more than a console. I would rather spend $1000 building myself a PC than spend $400-$500 on a console that will only run games and do simple browsing.

I can tell you now that my PC was old, about 6 years old and I ran COD 4 and MW2, I have since upgraded. First of all I never had any of that for my PC, paid 600$ for it all so from experience your whole paragraph is invalid. Calling me ignorant when you dont know me or what I have done, I didnt you use part picker, I hand picked every thing in my PC. Research, some poeople are to lazy to do it. I probably no more about PCs then you, you just assume that I know nothing, and I would do the same but I wouldnt insult them on your wild **** assumption. Read my previous comments, I torrented Win 7, and even if they cant do that there a plenty of places to buy cheap Windows 7 keys and etc. You know how I know that??? Experience, I did my "research" but for some odd reason you think I didnt. And for Monitors, you can buy one really cheap, you just have to RESEARCH!!! You dont need 16gb, that video is proof that 8gb is more than plenty. You are refusing to realise that a gaming PC can last for years even longer than consoles and still run games better than a console can. I have owned both and still own both. Of course games will get better graphics and extra, thats how things work, and of course you will have to upgrade to get the max settings. But consoles get less then rock bottom every year, PCs dont. They slowly degrade and by the time its time to upgrade to "next gen" consoles its time to upgrade your computer. "No you can't make a $500 PC that will run BF4 at max settings w/ 70FPS, stop kidding yourself." Watch the video, he shows it to prove it to people like you. You say that a PC is gonna cost more, of course it will cost a little more, but if you do like me (This so called ignorant person) and do a little "research" you can find deals. You have called me ignorant many times and all you have done is show your true colors. Ever heard "What you call people is a direct image of yourself"? Take not that I said "Consoles are nearly 600$" Nearly, yes you can go cheaper but you dont get all the fancy stuff that Im sure every one wants. people constantly assume that you have to get the top of the line PC when you dont!! Now Seven years ago I was know where near as familiar with PC as I am now so I assumed now that 4gb ram now is enough. Since CoD looks nearly the same.

Your reply was amusing, to say the least. You contradicted yourself multiple times, your grammar was laughable, and you brought up things I never even said in my original post. "You don't need 16GBs" Ok? I never said you did. "You called me ignorant multiple times." Nope, re-read my post, I only called you ignorant once. Even in your post you said the PC in the video was $700, then later on you said it was $500. Just stop, you're embarrassing yourself. I have a strong feeling I know more about this than you, I could be wrong -- but you've displayed pure PC elitism and mentioned nothing factual. What makes you think you know more? Are you A+ certified? Do you build PCs for a living? Or did you make your first PC and now think you know everything there is to know?

And for the record, no -- next-gen consoles don't run "below rock bottom", the GPUs in the next-gen consoles are of equivalent to mid-range GPUs, which wouldn't have a problem running games on high settings @ 1080p. (the One might have issues keeping up with the resolution, but for the most part will be the same as the PS4) Man up, take this so called "experience" you claim to have so much of and take pride in your PC. The second you started going on about how "PCs are better cus this, this and this" was the second I lost respect for you. Then to go on and insult me saying that my post was "invalid" and alluding to me being lazy because I "don't research" (which I don't need to, because I already know my facts) made you look even worse. Have some dignity, stop spreading all this false information and enjoy your PC for what it is, and I will enjoy my console as well.

And no, I'm not a console fanboy -- I have a 360, a One and a gaming PC. I use all of these regularly to play games on both Xbox LIVE and Steam, and I can still manage to keep things unbiased when I reply.

Again, I never said that the PC in the video was $500, I never said i had A+ I just know my shit, and I doubt you know so much that you dont need to research. And alluding you to be lazy. I said people were lazy, nver once pointed you out to be lazy. And the typical "Your mad" thing is old, grow up. I dont need respect from you, I know what I know and I know its right, I dont need respect from some kid on the internet, and where did I say that you dont needed 16gb, never did. As far as Im concerned you are coming up with BS too make me look unintelligible. And my use of grammar? What are you talking about, the only flaws may be some typos or not using commas. And I see that you do no research what so ever, based on the fact that you actually believe that console GPUs run anything higher than low, My research shows that. I built my PC and my mothers, I know what I posted in this post from experience and research. You really cant peace things together can you? Research and experience, that means either I read it or I found out for myself, and if you dont do any research then how can you know so much? "A PC with similar or same specs as an Xbox 360 would NOT be able to play Ghosts, or BO:II, or MW3 etc." really? So how does a Xbox 360 run it? Buy running below rock bottom detail!!! Maybe you are reading you own posts and you think i typed them? I kept this Unbiased, this post was to show that It is possible to build a PC for near the same price as a Console and still get all of the perks of a PC. And all I did was post some of the disadvantages of consoles and it is considered bias.

I used to play both pc and xbox, I play console more now though. Both are good but I enjoy consoles more personally but I like that pc has more customization like custom maps and skins.

The day your little console costs $14,000 like my monster super computer then I don't wanna hear it. My computer can run any game in the world. 64 GBs of ram 4 tb of SSD (alone worth $4,000) and then my computer itself weights like 200lbs with all the parts and case and water cooling. My computer is a monster. Your console could fit inside my computer case without making my case crammed. lol consoles are next to nothing to me now.

I really do not want to even discuss this or go to deep into detail about it or this rant will end up with 30+ pages (Ive been in argument before where literally 20+ pages of comments were only me and one other person discussing this)

Any way, first off no matter how much you or anyone whines about this topic it will never help. We are all entitled to our own opinions, I play PC the most, I prefer Console, but I play pc. I prefer a controller over mouse and keyboard, but tend to use mouse and keyboard. Now anyway, PC can NOT in any way shape or form be compared to consoles. Im sorry but you can't. Next you CAN NOT, I REPEAT CAN NOT beat the consoles price point. Yes I understand you can build a PC for the same price as a current console (Excluding the OS) but the simple fact is that PC isn't going to last you 8 years with the original parts and as time goes on games will decrease graphically and performance wise on PC, so it you will need to continue updating. But never once have I seen a pc Hardware or Software wise outlast a console. I mean hell look at the 360 and PS3, They came out in 2006 and will continue to play games at playable settings until 2018. My PC I built in 2006 and never upgraded lasted until 2010 before It stopped playing games at a playable setting. (BTW Ive still yet to see a pc with 256MB of Ram run BF4) But anyway games you see now on next gen won't get worse performance wise as time goes on as it will for a pc. Because the Devs Optimize for those platforms and as time goes on the Devs learn how to use the hardware and software and learn new tricks and are able to make games look even better as time goes for the same hardware as for pc that is a different story. This is what I say all the time to PC Elitist. Compare release games for the 7TH generation to the games they have now, Their is no comparison, the difference is amazing. Now compare games from 2006 on a 2006 PC that has the same hardware as it originally did and then try playing a game released this year. IT just wont work. The fact is consoles will always have that over PCs. Now personally I already know the down votes I will get and the counter arguments people will try to do, but the simple fact is A $400 PC can not beat a $400 console in the long run. Trust me it just wont work. BTW to all you PC elitist out their who use AMD (I myself is one of them) The only reason the $150 AMD Processors can compete with $300 Intels (Im referring to FX-8350) is because of consoles. Due to console (mostly the new ones) using 8 core APUs and CPUs the developers learn how to utilize those extra cores to improve performance. Before then in gaming there was no need for 8 cores so the AMD processors lacked behind. The simple fact is though is PC and Consoles both have pros and cons, but a PC will never be able to give you the same experience as a console (maybe in the future) its the simple truth and I understand current pc players will not agree with that but im sorry you can't change the fact no matter how much you argue. PC and Console gaming in terms are 2 different concepts and shouldn't be compared because of how one sided it is. Consoles where never meant to beat PCs they where developed to enhance your entertainment experience and make it more user friendly.

I can also tell you one thing, Ive never had as many resolution errors playing my xbox games as I do my pc.
