Go with the build with the i3, the i3 IMO is better and offers a better upgrade path. Also whoever said that you need a 4 core for gaming doesn't understand the conceptof hhyperthreading, an eight core processor from amd can get easily beaten by a 4 core Intel processors same with the 2 core Intel vs the 6 core amd.
