My CPU Idle: 40-57 c on idle so i bought a watercooler.

Hey guys so my watercooler is arriving on monday and I only wanted it to help keep the temps down, but if I wanted to overclock would it be risky since I have a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P Motherboard, could I even do slight overclocks or is it not worth overclocking on it at all thanks for the help.

That board has some decent overclocking capabilities you should be good to go.

What CPU do you have?

Also, what watercooler did you buy?

On a 4+1 motherboard, your not going to get the greatest overclock in the world, but a slight overclock is better than no overclock.

Just keep an eye on them temperatures. I suggest using [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You could OC the 6300 slightly on that board, just don't go OTT, because like Xigma said, the power delivery isn't the best.
