Okay so I'm making an XRPC tool, I launched my .xex and it stays at a blackscreen so I re-install it. Once it finishes I launch the .xex again and black screen. I then try and just boot it from the disc and black screen.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say it's a bad disk. I would maybe attempt to re-install the game if the problem persists.

Okay the disc now boots and I can see single player, multiplayer etc. but when I click on multiplayer it goes to a black screen.

Here's what you do download the game from pirate website put it onto your HDD.

My internet is so slow it's useless to download mw2, and my underground connection with the copper cables is **** so it disconnects every ~1 minute to 2 minutes so the torrents take nearly 3 days to download, I might just go and rent a copy.

You're burning it to play it? That's so much hassle and there's a much simpler (and free) way to do it... Your mp_default.xex file may be having problems. It could be that it's modified in a way that's supposed to work with a certain patch, but that patch isn't there. Instead of doing it that way, put the files directly on to your xbox's memory so you can edit them and see if it works BEFORE burning and wasting a disk

This is a fresh install of a disk, you know that right?

I would just try and re install the disc.

best bet is to rent a copy and burn that on your pc so u have a back up of and install it on your xbox

Clear your cache has you probably have a incorrect TU.
