Hello all, I am looking for some help. I'm a little confused about my graphics cards. I have two graphics cards, an Intel HD Graphics 4000, and an Nvidia GeForce GT 740m. Basically, I don't know which one is being used when I'm gaming and I would like to find out how. Help is much appreciated.

Well one is on board graphics (Intel Graphics) and the other should be an external that is the PCI expansion slot. So what is your monitor connected to? the board or the graphics card?
Or is it a Laptop?

The main GPU that it should be using is the 740m as it is a dedicated GPU and not the integrated one from your CPU
This is how to find out what GPU it is using. However, this is done on a desktop so im not sure if it will work on a laptop but it should.
By going to devices and printers in the Control panel, click your visual display. Right click and go to properties and then hardware. Check the picture below to see what it is using.

It's the Intel HD Graphics 4000. Is there a way to fix that?

You should be able to change the default GPU via the BIOS or using the NVIDIA panel.
