Hello TTG.

I am looking to upgrade both my Motherboard and my processor. I will upgrade my GPU if necessary but would prefer not. I wish to keep both of my hard drives and my ram if possible. What motherboard and processor should I look for here? budget is 400 pounds but can be increased if necessary (or more components are needed)

I'd go with this kind of combination for a new cpu and motherboard:

If you plan to game I'd recommend you upgrade your gpu aswell, there are quite a few low cost graphics cards that will give you better performance than your current 560ti. However I'd only pursue a gpu upgrade if you plan to game.

ok thanks mate what would you suggest as a gpu, max of 200 pounds for gpu please. I am thinking Gigabyte Geforce GTX 760 4GB windforce... partpicker says it will work? Also would you say an 8-core is woth getting? I game heavily on things like DayZ, Battlfield, will play GTAV etc.

thinking of this combo for final build?
