I've really never understood this generation's version of "DJs." I'm not referring to the guys who choose the songs on the radio. I'm talking about those over-dramatic, button-fiddling, headphone-wearing people who think that they're super cool and play nothing but Turn Down for What mixed with some other song that the radio overplays.

I mean, they really don't do anything more than what the original artist does. To me, there's really no way to make an existing song better than it is (with a few exceptions to some songs.) As closed-minded as this may sound hear me out here-- if a song is released and everyone has already heard it, if you change the beat or add parts to it, everything just sounds off.

A DJ to me can be compared to a leecher. I say this because a DJ does not create the song, he/she simply adds on or takes away from an existing song. Sure, a DJ may actually put something out, but putting out music that is 80% of someone else's song is no different than a "leecher" who copies someone's offsets and uses them in their tool and calls it their own. Sorry about the grammar and spelling it's 3AM, goodnight.

You my friend are not looking full into the DJ world. Its much more then adding a few beats. Depending on the Dj, some will mix, produce, and add new effects to create a perfect dance song.

I understand if your talking about the kids that buy beats studios and a small $100 mixer and call them selves professional.
