It kind of urks me when someone requests a thread to be removed or closed when the user can just do it themselves. Anyone else feel this or am I just weird?

Not all users can delete their own post. After time, you won't be able to delete your own post. So with that meaning, you have to file a request to administration.

That I did not know. I thought if you have a thread that's been up for awhile, you should be able to remove it. Or maybe like if the thread gets a minimum of post from different users.

You can only delete it if the post has no comments what so ever

I see this on two occasions:

1. They're unable to remove their thread because someone has replied to it.

2. They could be new to the site, so they are oblivious to the 'report your own post option' to have an administrator to take it down.

After someone has replied on a post, the person that made the post cannot delete it. Only a admin/staff can delete it. That is the whole reason of the "Delete/Close Topic At Request".
