I am having problems with my dual monitor set up, the 2nd monitor I have (completely the same as the first) experiences lagging problems when I have a youtube video playing on the other monitor, however, if I hide the video (minimize/switch tabs), the lag is lessened/goes away.

My graphics card I am using is a ASUS GTX 760, the first monitor is plugged into my DVI-D Port with an HDMI converter, and my 2nd monitor is plugged into my DVI-I port with an HDMI converter as well.

Just throwing it out there, if I play the video on the 2nd monitor, the first does not lag, I only have problems with the 2nd, does DVI-I to HDMI not work as well as DVI-D to HDMI? Is that not my problem? Any help would be appreciated!

POST EDIT: I found that this lag is a glitch with Windows Aero, and by switching back to the default windows desktop backgrounds, it was actually fixed.

Thanks,

Nick

The FPS might be different with different type brand monitors.

Slyest wrote The FPS might be different with different type brand monitors.

The refresh rate governs the max FPS that can be displayed. Almost always 60 Hz regardless of manufacterer.
