WillettsUK wrote Yeah it is now and I mean if that could happen I mean hell some idiot could end this world with a nuke bomb they decide to control.

We are so technologically supportive that all you would need is a advanced hacker to shut down wall street. The Government, the economy, and the country would fold into itself, Nuke, bombs, and missiles are obsolete, and the computer is in fashion for world destruction.

I don't to see how this has anything to do with technology "advancing too fast"

But to respond to the actual question, no, it's not advancing too fast. There's a lot of really cool things that are being done that weren't possible even 10 years ago (too tired to link to anything)

But if you want to let a TV show convince you that the world is headed towards robo-armageddon, so be it.

It's pretty obvious how it relates?
When un-manned drones where first invented (Whenever that was) there wasn't a thought of being hacked and controlled by someone else. But as technology has advanced a lot, some people can now get into even an ultra secure server such as the military just sitting at home.
Yes I know this is a TV show, but it is realistic...

Can I have a link to an article with a described example please.

it's actually not advancing fast enough. The reason people are hacking computers all over the world is because they are learning the technology and exploiting it. If technology were to advance faster we could stop all this security issues by developing hardware that would not allow hacking to happen. When it comes to computer technology we are at a stand still. HP is working on a totally new computer architecture that will probably be the replacement for computers in the future. Look it up

The fact they made a drone that is not controlled manually and they thought it wouldn't be able to be hacked, well their pretty stupid if you ask me, the fact that the US has biggest funding in the world and some of the best scientists and engineers and they did not think once "hmm yeah nobody has the technology to hack that"
