I need some opinions and views on my small dilemma here.

I'm currently living in the UK, I live in a small area called Bushey which is about 20 minutes away from the capital, London. I'm only 16 but I already know I want to ditch this joint. It's too empty, too boring and too far away from anywhere interesting. But the issue is I have no idea where to move to if I was able to actually move. I don't go out....like at all...that is until I get myself a car which is pretty much the #1 thing on my list of things to buy.

I should probably let you know that cars are a big part of my life, I look at them every day, research them and do as much virtual gaming based around them as I can. I also go out to car events as much as I can, but being a 16 year old with the only transport method either being a bus, train or one of my parents, there aren't very many places I can go. I need some personal opinions and advice from other people in the UK about how their area fairs off in terms of the car scene. I know it sounds extremely silly, the whole idea of moving to a different part of the UK for a different car scene but It's just what I want to do.

I've been looking into how other countries handle the car scene and to be fairly honest I couldn't have been born in a worse country for what I'm interested in. Here in the UK (from what I personally view) the "modified" cars are all hatchbacks with huge mufflers driven by drunk teenagers. I really do wonder if there is a place in the UK which holds an appreciation for cars as much as I do.

So, from your point of view, is there a good place in the UK to live for the car culture?

Want to get around? get a 50cc road legal motorbike. Cheap insurance and tax is around 17 i live fairly near in St. Albans lol.

Edit: The UK is a great place for cars as a lot are still made here and we host Top Gear (The best car TV show in the world)

Wow you do live close haha, yeah I've never looked much in to motorbikes but I suppose I could settle with one until I would be able to afford a proper car.

Also I know what you mean about the UK being a great place for cars, but the cars I'm into are all in different countries and would cost a fortune to be imported and insured on UK roads. (I'm talking Nissans, Chevy's, Toyota's)

I don't really see a point in paying loads for a car, it just gets you from A to B seriously I'd take anything but that is my opinion. Obviously if you love the car that much.. Get a job and you can afford it. Imo the best place for car culture seems to be in Cornwall or most parts of country in UK.

Come to London, a lot of car meets go on at the weekends.. Mostly at night..

I've been to a load, it's really chill.. Everyone appreciates each other's cars.. Until the police tell you to move on. Lol.

Just wondering, have you ever visited Ace cafe? A lot of meets go on there, and no one appreciates fools or drunks near their cars around here.

Yeah, i had a Rieju Tango 50 that i have just sold and it was great fun. From there i have purchased a Volkswagen Golf 1.6 S and added some exterior mods to it. But insurance is a bastard in the UK, so you are limited to cars.

Serious? Car meets in London? I'm surprised you're even able to see the cars considering the amount of people walking around. I'll have to check it out. To answer your question yes I have been to Ace Cafe, we stopped there for a bit of breakfast and outside there was a Nissan R33 which I stared at for a good 10 minutes.

Where I live here in the UK each Friday and Saturday night there is a local spot where all the street racers meet. They meet up at McDonalds and then race down a long strip when lorry drivers sleep, they also race around factories.

They all have modifications of so,em sort to their cars, some just have exterior mods to make it look better where as others have spent lots to provide their cars with more power, speed etc.

These cars range from Citroen saxos to Nissan skylines.

Funnily enough, near where I live, we also have quite a lot of this, they also happen to meet at a McDonald's, near lots of empty road at night.

And as for transport, I suggest getting a 50cc, especially whilst you only 16.
They can be so fun an surprisingly, with abit of customization can actually be quite quick.

Yeah see from my point of view, there are about 5 car enthusiasts in my entire area. I once saw a 1969' Dodge Charger near my house and my god did it make some noise, that's about the most action I've seen where I live.
