I'm trying to redeem a prepaid card for 3 + 1 months of Xbox live (1month extra) and it keeps telling me "This payment option can't be used for the purchase. Please select a different payment option or add a new one."

I have had this problem before it is most likely because Either their is a Billing Issue, Its not valid in your Country Ex. You got it from Canada but trying to redeem from a United States Account. or maybe you have a Security Issue on the account.. Is their a Error code you can look up? Or if your using paypal you need a bank or credit card linked to your account.. regardless call Xbox.

The Card might not have been activated due to the cashier not scanning it properly. I would check with Xbox Support and see what you can do.
