Afternoon,

I'm currently attempting to play watch dogs its playable for around 10minutes but then my CPU goes so high it lags the game out and I have to close it and restart my computer. It happens on a couple of games such as War Thunder and Battlefield 4. My CPU is a AMD FX 8320 3.8 - 8 Core. Its been fine until a few months ago I thought it was windows 8.1 but I simply don't know. If anybody finds a solution for this I have a extra copy of FIFA 14 for origin

What are the temps under load, then? If you need something to stress the CPU and monitor temps, use OCCT.

Downloaded anything suspicious lately, you may of been set onto something called a "BOTNET" which leeches silently stealing not only information but allows them to harness the power of your computer to do nefarious deeds such as launching "DDoS'ing", Film VIDEOS of you and then try to ransom you into paying money and then deleting the video of whatever you've done.

Using you on ad websites. Anyways, all of that is illegal.

Or your CPU is just on it's way out, although you did say it's relatively new, the game is very intensive, what is your GPU, it may be trying to withdraw from the CPU, which has been known to happen.

Re-install WATCHDOGS, do a SYSTEM RESTORE to up to 2 WEEKS before the CPU problem happened.
Enable ANTI-VIRUS, you can download MALWAREBYTES for free which is very good here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Inbox me and I'll get you a pro key for it aswell so you can scan memory and flash scans!
