I was told that when you turn 18, you don't have to take your permit. You can just go to take your driving test. Is this yet true?

I thought you had to have your permit for 24 hours. But that might be right cause I've heard that too.

I live in PA as well. But see, when you're 18, there is a exception for permits. But I forget what it is.

Depends where you live. Usually you can go take the tests when you are 18 but your insurance will be higher without drivers ed.

It honestly depends where you live. I imagine in the states it varies state-to-state.. and in most countries it'll be different. Specify where you're from then maybe you can get further help. Otherwise, you could just google.

In Washington State, once you turned 18, you can go to your local DMV, and take your 25(maybe more) question test, and have someone score you on your driving. No monthly school required.

In Pennsylvania you have to have your permit for at least 6 months at any age before you can get your license.
