i have a galaxy s3 and I'm trying to figure out cool things to do with it, I've heard about rooting the device but i don't really know what you can do with a device once its rooted.

i will +Rep for the best and coolest answers !

Once you get your device rooted you can install a custom recovery like Clockworkmod recovery and install a custom os like Cyanogenmod. What carrier do you have your S3 with and I will link you to an awesome website that will show you everything you can do to your S3 and it will break it down for you step by step.

You can make it so you can wirelessly charge it. Kinda cool. Dunno where the guide is, but i saw it somewhere. you cn root it and completely transform what it looks like, its really cool. Just google sgs3 root, or galaxy s3 root. There are one click tools and more.
