What is better Console or PC gaming? I have been console gaming for a long while now and i am starting to get bored with it. All I want to know is what the pros and cons are for PC gaming compared to console. Also one other question, would i be better off building my own computer than buying a pre built one?

PC gaming all the way. A PC will always outrun a console as you can upgrade them. PC gaming also has a wider range of games especially simulation games which are my best kind. I would recommend building one yourself as you can save a lot of money and build a much better computer but as always if you/parents are loaded with money then you can get a great custom one prebuilt. Or you can build one yourself and get the experience of building one.

thanks, i also agree that PC is better even though i haven't really experienced the full gaming pc world but i have heard a lot of positive things about PC. My parents aren't loaded with money lol. Do you know any builds that would run Arma 2/Arma 3 at atleast medium settings?

Arma games are real CPU intensive games. I suggest you figure out your approximate budget and then do some research and try to do a build that is around your budget. Just some general tips to be aware of because a lot of prebuilt computer companies try to make some extra coin by loading there pc with 32/64gb of ram knowing that some people will just think more ram = more gaming power which is false. Stay around the 12gb range or even 8 is just fine at this time but more and more games are needing 8gb as a requirement so good to stay ahead of the pack.
If you do get a prebuilt make sure all the parts have solid reviews and come from well known companies especially for you Power Supply Unit (PSU). If you want to save some cash I suggest going for alternative ways on getting Windows. You could always get steamOS (it will limit your games but more and more games are being made for it) if your really strapped for cash.
I have noticed some companies really like to cheap out on cooling and cable management. Tip for starters is to stay away from water cooling.
buy your peripherals (mouse, keyboard, headphones etc) separate.

Also don't listen to people who fanboy over amd VS intel and amd VS Nvidia. All have there ups and downs.

Let me just say one thing, AMD is as good as dead. the AM3+ line of CPU's just can't deal with socket 1150 because say you buy an FX-8320. There is no real upgrade for that. However if you buy the Intel counterpart, the i5 4670K you can later down the line buy an i7 4770K. Intel is the better choice because of the sole purpose of upgrades. For a budget, people look at the FX-6300. Great little chip, I have one. But I know highly recommend that people spen their money on the i3 4130 due to the fact that they can whack an i5 4570 in the same mobo.

There's trade-offs with PC and console gaming. With PC gaming, the graphics are and will always be 10 times better than a console. (This also depends on the type of computer and the game. i.e. Running COD Ghosts/BF4 on a crappy PC) Then you have console gaming. I'd say the only good thing about console is the social aspect of it. You always have people talking to each other with mics and communicating. On PC you most likely won't get as much. Also the fact that the consoles are turning to paid online services is a good reason to game on a PC. On PC it's a one-time buy.

People are always talking on PC as most games need it e.g. counter strike GO , dayZ , Gmod(TTT) and loads more

First of all you came to the wrong section to ask the question 'Console or PC gaming'

Personally im a pc gamer but ive been lucky enough that my mum has managed to save up enough for a mid range gaming PC.

PROs for PC gaming
*Lobbys aren't full of little kids trying to do there way of 'trolling'

*There are many Cheap/FREE pc games that are AMAZING. Personally League of legends is my favourite game and its TOTALLY FREE!

*Hardware - You can choose to update your pc any time as long as your current hardware meets the requirements and you have the money as with console gaming you have to wait until a new console comes out a few years down the line.

Cons for Pc Gaming
*Cost - So expensive to get the hardware to run intensive games on good settings.

*Finding the right place to buy a prebuilt from(NOT RECOMMENDED) Most places if not all places that sell pre builts RIP YOU OFF. They put cheap/crappy parts in then charge you a ton for it. BUILD YOUR OWN(Very easy just takes a bit of reasearch which is easily helped by tutorials on youtube people on here and just the internet. and the manuals that come with the components you buy are really easy to understand and when you get the hang of it you just cruise through the building process)

*People - So quite a few people are oblivious to PC gaming especially younger ages. i go back 3years ago i didnt even hear about PC gaming. You might be a bit lonely sometimes but the pc community is GREAT and not full of childish people who's only aim is to troll.(You'll make friends) i was lucky that the time i decided to move to pc gaming that me and 3friends also chose the same pathway.

I would list the pros and cons about console gaming but im guessing you know a lot of them.
