I totally agree with you on this one.

by your logic there should not be churches, people should not be able to come to my door and try preach to me but they do. people have the right to to announce that they are atheist if people can preach religion.

Maybe if religious people would stop preaching on street corners and making laws based on their ancient book. I'm not someone to just bring it out, but I see it as I will shut up if they shut up. A number of Atheists do it anyway to just show others it is ok to be an Atheist. It is ok if you don't believe in an intelligent designer. Not sure why Atheists need to keep it to themselves when a great number of religious people do not.

Atheists can and should advertise their beliefs because entire countries are labelled as religious. If Religious people kept their beliefs to themselves then there wouldn't even be the word 'Atheist.'

Very well said, unfortunately people lots of people (not saying all) do follow atheism as a trend and i believe it has lots to do with what school teaches and the social media portrays religion to be.

If anything, saying Religion is stupid and outdated is the most unpopular opinion in the world right now and it certainly isn't encouraged by the media or school system.

Atheism isn't a trend, it's an inevitability.

I'm not even atheist, I'm just anti-religion, people can believe in God all they want, but when they take those beliefs and start blowing people up because of it or trying to influence what is taught in schools, then we have a problem.

If i said the same thing, but about Muslims, Jews, Budhists etc... i would be called a racist and lectured about freedom of speech and opinion etc.

This is no difference: a religion is for all intensive purposes: a view on morality, and a mindset.
Athiesm is no different, it is simply a way people view the world, morality/philosophy etc.

So no i couldn't disagree with you more. If people of religions can speak up, preach, etc, then it is no less racist to prevent an athiest from doing the same.

Real life current example of this situation:

Subway have removed pork from their menu's because of the religious views of ONE class of people, which i think is f*cking pathetic.
If athiests demanded they remove Halal meat from the menu's and subway agreed to do so, there would be war.

The country is a mess in relation to this stuff. Its not because there are too many foreigners, nothing racist like that, im all for multiculturalism. The problem is that they give the alien cultures in our society priority over everybody else. If i went to saudi arabia, they wouldn't change there rules for me, so why is it any different here.

Im not racist, not by a longshot, i have friends from every culture, i simply think there is far too much emphasis on the difference between cultures, when more effort should be put into equality.

Sorry to stray off topic, but it all equates back to your rant, every other religion has the right to speak out, so athiesm should be treated no differently.
