That was, sorry to say, a pretty stupid statement. China doesn't invent those products they only are assembled there they are designed here and sent there to be manufactured since the wages are lower.

EXACTLY. Xbox 360's are assembled in China, the same as these "clone" chips.

T-X products are also made in China FYI. The "clone" chips come from the genuine T-X products, which are designed by T-X and assembled in China.

Listen up, this is a good thread related to the dgx stone. Lets keep it that way. Final answer: clone tx chips work perfectly fine.

Ephemera wrote Okay your choice but I ask you a simple question to all of you what soldering stations do you all use? I'd like an answer from those who use clones please.

I use a Radio Shack soldering iron, and some chinese solder. I also tend to favor the x360run for slims, and they work perfectly fine. Question here is why did you come off so hostile to people using non T-X chips? I really only use T-X chips for R-JTAG as I have a bunch of other ones that work better for other methods with zero issues. Not sure what your trying to prove, maybe you had bad luck with the clone you had, but no one here has, plus I wouldn't really consider the Stone a clone as it doesn't follow the install as the DGX at all, heck, it has a wiring method that I haven't seen until now!

Ephemera wrote To TheWeekendModder I apologize this has gone out of hand and respect that you actually state that your chips are clones when selling them.

Okay. Done. Argument over.

We'll leave it simply stating that some people believe clones to be inherently inferior, and others disagree.

The one thing that I can agree to is that people that use clones and try to pass them off as authentic are being dishonest.

I use clones in many of my installs and have no problem admitting that.

Any more replies in this thread that don't specifically have to do with the topic (the STONE chip) will be reported to admin.
