I doubt you're on the correct dash to JTAG as the method was patched 5 years ago. You can replace the disc drive without JTAGing or RGHing your console.

You can probably RGH your console. You won't be able to connect to XBL with it though without purchasing time on a server. Also, your disc drive will still be broken if you modify your console. The drive will have to be replaced. Just in case you never knew, thought I should mention it. Believe it or not, some people don't know that.

What motherboard is your console and what dashboard is it on?

oh i knew that and i would have to check that and atm my xbox is in the box, so i cant be botherd to get it, and i though i could just download the game onto the jtag and play it :/

Arr, ye can obtain games other ways.(if you know what I mean). That talk is prohibited on this site though and I don't quite fancy a warning for talking about it.

Once you know the motherboard and dash, send me a PM and I will tell you whether it can be modified or not.

yes since your disk drive broke you can rgh your console and load isos from the hard drive without using the dvd tray.
