I am thinking about buying either the hauppauge pvr plus or elgato... Which one works better with a mac? I will be using a macbook pro.
Thanks for input.

Ok, Haupaggue* is alot Better, Record in 1080p-i and it works with a Basic laptop. With An Elgato you need Good Ram also Good GHz.

The elgato is more user friendly so if your not a tech wiz then get the elgato because it would be a lot easier to use than any other HDpvr's.

Depends how well you are with technology -

Elgato if your not to good and want a nice user friendly as someone said device that records in good quality for simple videos and stuff

Hauppauge if you are planning going professional and could set it up and get used to it more mentally

I personally like the Hauppauge better but it is your choice for simplicity really

I would suggest that you go with the Elgato. I have one and it is amazing. It is small so it won't take up any space. and you only need to plug in a few chords, with the Hauppauge you might have to use a lot of chords. And in my opinion, the Elgato has better quality. It is really easy to use too.
