I recently bought this Jtag off of the forums and I have been having a lot of trouble with it. Firstly it rarely ever boots and the only 3 times I have gotten it to boot it froze at the splash startup and the second time I attempted to run a game is made a high pitch screech and the third time I had it open with no airflow and it overheated (My fault) but I don't know what to do because all it does is turns on to where the middle light is green the controller flashes for a second and it just sits there. I can confirm it's a jtag and not an RGH it had no cool runner in it only some modifications to the fan wires the Disk tray power cable which lets me know it's flashed and some resistors with wires going to the motherboard. That's about as much information I can give I can post pictures if needed.

Sounds like pre-RRoD or a bad NAND. Also, just because the DVD wires are connected to the fan wires, doesn't mean it's flashed.

No it's not the dvd drive to fan it's just the wire that was used to ground the drive when flashing. And how would I fix this pre-Rrod or if it was a bad nand?

It needs a Reflow or Reball. These consoles are quite known for it. All of that signals a Graphics Chip error. Get the GPU Reflowed/Reballed and all will be good!

If you have a nand reader of some kind flash back the original nand

Disconnect the jtag wires and it will give RROD get the secondary error code and google it which will give you more information on the error

Alright I will try reflow it first and if that doesn't work I can try Reballing.

Had the same problem with my Falcon RGH. Sent it back for troubleshooting just needed a reflow and it was as good as new. Hope this helped

Everyone gives bad feedback about Xenon Consoles.
I've had mine for a while now and it never goes over 39.3
on the CPU, never mind over heating, you guys must be just treating your console like crap.

Some consoles are better than others. It isnt about how they treat it. Alot of Jtag owners dont know anything about the inside of the unit...

39? Nice! Any mods to the cooling system?
