DirectX12 has been announced by Microsoft for reveal on March 20th 2014...

Does this mean that Mantle was a complete waste of time for AMD? I guess we'll have to wait and see. But at the minute DirectX11 is much better than Mantle due to optimization issues with Radeon and R9 cards.

Follow them on Twitter to get up to date news on the new API.

Im not too sure what AMD's playing at?

They have brought out Mantel as we all know but they are now going to help with the new Direct X and OpenGL?

I don't know what is going on in their heads but this is amazing news for us gamers, we get even more free performance ^^

haha
I dunno, but at least we can choose what we like for the best performance. But if DX12 is better then Mantle was a good idea, just should have thought it out a bit more...

Where does it say that?

It won't favor AMD cards, NVidia still uses DX11.

Good to see PC technology is starting to advance quicker.

We've been focused on mobile-based tech for what...8 years now? Not much has happened in the PC department. Hopefully DX12 brings some major improvements.
