I don't use Vsync but I also don't get screen tearing. I have a 60Hz monitor and the particular games feel smoother at 80 than 60. However, they wil be displayed at 60 fps. Skyrim you can't disable Vsynch unless you do it in the config files. But this is known to cause bugs.

ItsLodus wrote Vsync introduces some input lag but if you're playing single player you should be fine. In multiplayer games you need quicker reaction so it's better to have it off and yes it would make it smoother. It wouldn't necessarily leave more room for mods though. So whats the build you'll be getting?

Not sure on specific parts. From what I have read, a 2gb graphics card is perfect for one screen gaming, and in my case, one screen gaming on older games. I am thinking about going for a 3gb though, because I have seen quite a few threads talking about heavily modded Skyrim and all of them said A heavily modded Skyrim will take as much VRAM as you can give it. For Skyrim spwcifically I won't be having many or any at all because I have a hard getting into the game sometimes and the storyline and tuff is fine so I would only have a good amount of only weapon and armor mods, small stuff. On the Fallouts i really want all the bigg stuff, even rhough it is an old game I still love it and there is still alot of activity on them. I don't know about Fallout using VRAM like Skyrim but I would imagine it would, being they are made by the same company and I think he same engine. So would 2gb of VRAM be fine for having lots of mods on Fallout 3 and New Vegas? Or should I just go for 3?

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. I don't think ill be using more than 2gb, but never more than 3. What ever isn't being used will ensure my performance isn't bottlenecked. My budget is around 1, 200, so I can spend a lil more money on graphics. Right now I'm trying to get facts and everything straight before I go after specific names of parts. But now I have almost all of my questions answered, what should I keep in mind about specific brands? Processor wise I would really like Intel, but are usually more expensive. For a 1000 dollar off the shelf Intel pc you can get a close equivalent AMD for about 700-600 from experience. But if there is a AMD processor that is better, ill go for that. So Processor, AMD or Intel? GPU, I have no idea where to start. Anybody have a recomended brand?

Intel is better if you have a good budget, this is because it has better performance and quality.
AMD is good on a lower budget. It has higher clock speeds than Intel and are great CPU's for the price.

That cooler ain't good enough for Haswell(H60).

For overclocking I'd go for the h100 or the Phanteks CPU performance cooler/Noctua NH-D14.
Those are amazing coolers.

So AMD is a more overclocking and pwrformance price and budget and Intel are more quality? So Intels are only better if you have the money, but AMD is good for OCing? If so AMD is more in my favor........

AMD has better performance for the price, but Intel is generally better. AMD is very close behind though.
If you OC, make sure to have a good cooler.
