Is there a way to get the CS source for free?

I can't find a way

It needs to be 100% legal

I don't think there is a legal way to get the game for free, however on the Steam Workshop there are add-ons that give you the Counter Strike Source textures if that's what you really need (I'm going to guess you need CSS for Trouble in Terrorist Town on Garry's Mod?)

A few of my friends have used this, so if you're going to use it, follow the description

If you're trying to get the full game to actually play, then there isn't a legal way to get it, other than buying it, having the game gifted to you or if someone does family sharing with you.

From what I know, you just install what the author listed in the description on the Steam Workshop and then when you load up Gmod they are downloaded for you so you don't have to mess with the files. Like you would start at pack 1 and then go all the way through to pack 7, subscribing to each one and then once you're done with that, start up Garry's Mod and you should see them added in the "Addons" tab on Gmod.

There was a website that let you get all the textures that Gmod uses, but I cannot for the life of me remember the website. I used it to get the Portal 1 and Portal 2 texture for Garry's Mod.
