I've been trying to decide whether to buy a pre-built pc or build my own, I've done my research and will most likely build one myself. This PC will probably be decided upon sometime the next 2 months. I plan on building one with a budget of $1200, which includes everything (monitor, windows, mic maybe). I have a few noob questions I have to ask.

1. Do you need a wireless card to connect wirelessly to wifi?

2. Do you need a sound card to hear anything?

3. Is there a major difference from a 5ms response time from a 1ms response time monitor?

4. Can you install other USB ports other than the ones on the motherboard?

5. Is it worth it to install a liquid cooling system? I saw a video on how to install one and there was no worry of spillage, looked fairly easy.

1. Do you need a wireless card to connect wirelessly to wifi? Yes you will need to buy one if you want to connect wirelessly.

2. Do you need a sound card to hear anything? No you do not need a soundcard to hear anything, as most boards have onboard audio.

3. Is there a major difference from a 5ms response time from a 1ms response time monitor? Not really ms response isnt the only thing you should be looking for in monitors( see root's post on monitors)

4. Can you install other USB ports other than the ones on the motherboard? You can by getting an adapter, but i believe there are more than enough usb ports with the motherboard plus the additional ones your case comes with,(Most cases have extra usb ports on them)

5. Is it worth it to install a liquid cooling system? I saw a video on how to install one and there was no worry of spillage, looked fairly easy. It all comes down to preference if you want a cooler & quieter system, by all means go right ahead. It helps with powerful over clocks too.

To add to the answers, only get liquid cooling if you're going to overclock. (assuming you will by your budget). Depending on what CPU you have air cooling might be cheaper and might suit your needs better.

Also, you won't notice the difference between 7ms and 1 ms to be honest, anything under 7ms would be fine.

Motherboards sometimes have on board wifi, so before you buy a wireless card make sure you post in the PC section what your motherboard, to see if it has on board wifi or not.

1. Do you need a wireless card to connect wirelessly to wifi? Yes

2. Do you need a sound card to hear anything? No

3. Is there a major difference from a 5ms response time from a 1ms response time monitor? It Depends, I doubt it's noticeable, Im using 3 5ms monitors but there are also different types of displays so do some research

4. Can you install other USB ports other than the ones on the motherboard? Yes

5. Is it worth it to install a liquid cooling system? I saw a video on how to install one and there was no worry of spillage, looked fairly easy. If you want to make it real quiet, yes

You don't need a wireless card all the time, as your motherboard could have o nboard wifi, or you could use wired internet through and Ethernet cable.

1. Do you need a wireless card to connect wirelessly to wifi? You can get a wireless card or you can get a USB wifi adapter. I'd reccomend wired or using a PCIe card.

2. Do you need a sound card to hear anything? No, it just improves quality.

3. Is there a major difference from a 5ms response time from a 1ms response time monitor? Not really anything under 7ms like Hoop said is fine.

4. Can you install other USB ports other than the ones on the motherboard? You can get adapters for cheap.

5. Is it worth it to install a liquid cooling system? I saw a video on how to install one and there was no worry of spillage, looked fairly easy. - Like Hoop said theres no point if your are not overclocking.

if you have decent internet don't get that wireless card it's going to bottleneck you.
