I must of worded it wrong i meant like the order of the game by story. For instance he thinks that halo 4 was before the first halo because something about there being any more spartans

Wait until you get into the fan-fiction and the books. They'll drive you nuts wondering where the universe will go next. (Unless 343i doesn't care and makes up a whole new antagonist again)

As it stands, there are still several of the original Spartan IIs alive... There is also a few teams of Spartan IIIs some of which are locked in Slipspace status. And in H4, they have started the Spartan 4 project, which takes adult soldiers and modifies them as oppose to the original idea of taking children.

The original game series just focused on Master Chief, but there is still spartans from his generation ;)
