Title says all.
Bottom line; is it worth it?
Windows 7 or Windows 8?
I've done my research today, and it seems that a lot of people are upset with it.
I'm looking to buy a new computer and I'm wondering if it is really worth upgrading or not.

I need all of your's expertise and opinions.

I have Windows 8 and to be honest I like it. Windows 8 runs more smoothly (actually proven) than Windows 7.

Even though if you prefer Windows 7, you could still use Windows 8 by keeping yourself at the desktop section. It is 'almost' exactly the same thing as Windows 7.

Windows 8.1 has the Start Menu as well in the bottom left hand corner.

If you were to purchase an OS then Windows 8 will be the OS to get. It's newer, it's more optimised for gaming and general applications.

The one downside you might come across is the GUI, but they are gradually listening to the community and are fixing and improving some things in their UI (Windows 8.1).

Windows 8 is the one to get if you are going to purchase an OS. I only got Windows 7 because I got it for free from an old PC I had, otherwise I would have purchased Windows 8.

Windows 8 is more optimised and it has better performance for most games. It also have faster load up times. These are facts. Windows 8 performs better in games, and most applications for that matter. Almost all Win 7 applications work in Win 8.

There's nothing wrong with it, in 8.1 you can make the computer boot to desktop. It's as if the tiles (which the majority hate) don't exist.

Windows 8 is the way to go. Faster boot up time and more optimization. User Friendly and it has more things to offer.
Windows 8 does not have bugs, if they still did we would not be writing these good reviews.
If there is a bug then Microsoft will be the first one's on it.
