You did the right thing. My parents always taught me to stand up for myself. If someone touches me, and I hit them back, I call it self defense. The school disciplinary system is messed up. Although at my school, a kid was being bullied and the person bullying him hit him, and when he hit back, he just had 1 day detention while the bully was suspended. I feel like that's more fair than the victim getting suspended also.

I think you have the right to hit them since they did push you first but you're always going to get screwed over by the schooling system. For me I actually got punched in the face and got suspended for 3 days because I was involved so I know how you feel, but you did have the right to hit him back because he started it

You have every right to hit him back. Yes you might get in trouble. But defend yourself if you can! Don't let anyone take advantage of you! If you can beat him, do it to show him how it feels.

Now since you got suspended if you were me, and your parents were mine. My parents and mean would have walked right up to the Police Station and filed a report against the kid and then sued the school for suspending me when I did nothing wrong and just got bullied.

Glad you did what you did. It makes you look like an easy target and scared if you dont do anything about it.

The way school punishes people needs to be fixed. And its good to fight back and not take crap from people, in my school once you stand up for yourself its generally the last time you get bullied.
