I'm honestly hoping for just some mature and honest opinions on gun control. I'd prefer none of that "guns are scary" / "guns kill kids" nonsense if y'all don't mind. If that's your mindset then kindly move along, thank you.

I, personally, come from a family that has had guns in it since I was young. I remember hunting with my papa when I was really young and I've enjoyed it and activities like going to the shooting range ever since. I hate all the political crap that has come up with handguns and assault rifles lately, but I'm not trying to get into that. I own several guns and I am very safe with them. I believe it is a citizens right to own a gun (when he is of age, of course) and I think having them banned is unconstitutional. Again, not trying to start any arguments, just one guys opinion.

America is too big of a country to ban guns.
There are two massive borders and you're sat right next to one of the most violent countries in the world.
You stop law abiding citizens having them, and criminals will be able to get them illegally, that's what criminals do, illegal things, not much logic in banning guns.
More mass shootings in gun free zones and I'm pretty sure that a large majority of shootings are gang related so banning guns still wouldn't stop them blowing eachother's heads off.
Even if you did ban guns and the gun death rate dropped the knife crime statistics would sky rocket, just like they did in England.
The way I see it, the pros of having guns in a country as big as America outweigh the cons hugely.

But then if all people were friendly and no crimes were to be committed, there would be a need for weapons.
I do agree with you here I believe that even in the uk people should have the right to own a gun or weapon as a self defence against burglars.

I don't agree with banning guns. An average of about 1000 people die a year in America related to guns. More people die from cars here. Their's almost no logic in an argument against guns.

Heres my opinion on the matter. I think we should be allowed to have pistols, or hand guns. As for assault weapons, and military classed weapons I think should be illegal. There is no reason that you should ever need to have a loaded assault rifle at your house. They are people killers, thats what they were designed to do, and I don't think people should be able to buy them.

I personally think it's stupid, they try to ban all guns but they won't be able to . People will rebell, and the US is way to big to try to take their guns .

What are your views on recreational use? I honestly can't remember the last time I had as much fun as the times with my buds at the range with a solid AR-15.
Would you be opposed to recreational institutions dedicated solely to shooting ranges of sorts?

TBH I think they should ban like more higher class weapons like assault rifles etc. and you could be able to get handguns at a certain age
